Crap
I forgot I don’t have the original charger for my RC car. And I bought a battery that uses the original connector. I’m too lazy to solder a different connector to the new battery. Should have just got the cheaper battery that’ll work with my adapter. Or bought an adapter so I can charge it.
I can cancel the order, and re order everything.
Haha, pretty sure the eBay adapter I bought wouldn’t work, even if I got the more expensive RC car. The internet confused me with bad pictures. Or maybe it would work.
Why is female on the battery?
Well, those adapters for the battery they claim is compatible, won’t work. Or maybe it would work. No idea if the battery connector is actually right for that RC car though. Getting the cheaper battery, that I already made an adapter for.
Now to see if somebody asked my stupid question, by searching for it. Do batteries have a male or female connector on them? RC car batteries. They could show a fucking picture of the end that’s plugging into my battery.
Just order both, one might work. Hmm, I might have the right adapter in my cart. You can’t see all of the connector, but what you can see looks right.
Why do they have the female on the battery?
Well, I’ll only buy one adapter, and hope for the best. Wait, if I buy the other adapter, I can charge with my Tenergy charger. No need for the charger it comes with. Good idea.
Then I can answer the question tomorrow. If batteries have female connectors on them.
Haha, I needed both adapters anyways. Not much more than just the more expensive RC car, or the same after tax on the more expensive RC car.
I’ll need to buy another charger. Either a better one, for myself, or the same one. Since she wants my nephew to play with my old RC car, she could buy the charger, it’s under $20. That’s assuming I can make the new battery fit, or strap it down. If it’s too heavy, well, good luck.
Might have to remake the adapters. Or find some better ones. With thicker cables.
I’ll leave the old one at her house, after I find the controller, and make sure it works. Where the fuck is the controller? I think it got moved, or fell behind the thing that collapsed. Damn, should have bought a new storage thing. Leave the collapsed one where it is, with stuff piled on, move the stuff I care about to the new one. That’s almost $17. I want a heavy duty one, so I can pile stuff on top of it. But that’s probably $40+. Eh, it can wait till next month. I never even noticed it collapsed.
I’m going to get rid of old junk soon. So I don’t hoard as much stuff as my neighbor was. You should have saw all the crap in the hallway, before they brought it down.
For some reason I think I should keep some stuff. Yet, if I’m not ever going to use it, get rid of it. Need room for RC cars now.
I plan on buying the $350 RC car too. Maybe next year. That will be strictly mine. You may or may not get to drive it. Well, it’s more than $350 if you buy from Hobby Town. After I cancel the Steam Deck order, I’ll consider buying that buggy. I’ll have two buggies, so I can race somebody off road. I’ll probably crash and lose.
The old RC car isn’t a buggy, no idea how it does off road. Might be fine down a dirt alley.
I liked the motor I had, but it fried itself. I think I bought another one, and the same thing happened.
Looking in my email for the motor I bought.
The $350 RC car will probably get LiPo. So it’ll smoke all the other RC cars.
I think I only paid $100 for the old RC car, so there’s no point in asking for money for it.
Damn, eBay only goes back to 2019. So I have to continue searching my email.
Shoot, the email might be gone, thanks Google, I don’t recall ever deleting such an email. I hoard emails. Well, no RC motors bought in 2012. I looked at all eBay emails from 2012. No idea what year then. 2011? 2013? Who knows.
How much money do I plan on spending? Looking at motors on eBay now. I think I need a specific size or something though.
That comes with an ESC, that supports LiPo. Probably have to do soldering to connect my batteries to it. And it comes from China.
Why does it need a new motor? So it can race better? Maybe. I like spending money. There’s a motor for $7, almost $4 shipping.
You might be able to replace the radio thing, if I can’t find the controller. More on Hobby Town. Don’t want to cancel my order and re order everything though.
Just search on eBay for something you find.
The one I found on eBay, says it’s for one specific thing, but reviews are using it in other stuff.
Good idea, make the old RC car faster. Then I’ll get smoked. With my expensive new one, when I could have just bought an expensive ESC and motor.
Around $150 for a better motor and ESC. No idea if the shaft crap is right for the old RC car. No idea if it can handle such a motor either.
I think it’s LiPo compatible. Added the cheap eBay motor to my watch list. If I get the old one working, I might buy it. Better than $150.
Buy the motor on Amazon for $10, might be slightly cheaper. You get free shipping. It’s even sold by Amazon directly.
