How long does it take to compile Mesa?
A day or two? That is at 2.20 GHz, I’m not changing the CPU governor.
How do you revert to the Manjaro Mesa, once you don’t need the Git version anymore? Says it’s hard to do. So, you can’t just reinstall the stock Mesa? Assuming the PKGBUILD says it conflicts, you just remove the Git version, or see if pacman removes stuff, if there’s a conflict. Don’t think it does, but I don’t recall.
It’s slowly compiling llvm-minimal-git. You need that for mesa-git. Maybe it isn’t that slow, Mesa probably will be though.
Well, llvm-minimal-git failed. I used buildpkg, which uses a chroot. Just remove the check function. Don’t know how to pass “—nocheck” to buildpkg when it runs makepkg. You can try editing the config, but that’s global, you’ll have to recall to change it back.
Well, it won’t be done till tomorrow. I’ll be in bed. I suppose it might finish, but Mesa won’t.
There’s the lib32 packages I have to build too. Damn, you have to compile a shitload of stuff. Good job at having a ton of separate PKGBUILDs. I might just build it against the included LLVM. Lucky, the libs is included, don’t need anymore packages. The PKGBUILD makes the libs package too. Four PKGBUILDs is enough. I don’t need 6.
