Intel Atom isn’t that great. Also, DirectAdmin would cost me money, don’t think they offer it for free. So, you might as well pay $30 a month for two threads from BuyVM.

I have the $15 a month plan, that has a dedicated thread. That’s the cheapest plan with a dedicated thread.

I’d get a VPS from LetBox, but the Ryzen plan is only 20% CPU, for one thread, two and four threads is 30%.

I could get the one thread plan, and use it as another DNS server. Then I’ll have three. Except, LetBox might be in the same data center as BuyVM. Making it semi useless.

I had a Intel Atom server once, but I think it had 8 threads. I wouldn’t pay for a 2 core dedicated server. Now, if it was $19 a month, for a 8 thread Intel Atom, I might. If DirectAdmin is included for free.

It’s four threads, that provider only lists cores. Compiling might like threads, so it could compile faster. The keyword is could, as it’s only 1.60 GHz.

Ha, they say servers under $50 not from 1999, that Intel Atom uses DDR2. No thanks. It’s a dinosaur. When did DDR2 come out? Well, that CPU came out in 2010. Still a dinosaur.
