Intel Network AX200.NGWG.NV WI-FI 6 AX2002230 2X2 AX+BT NO VPRO Retail
I get the same speed as my phone now, on my laptop. Massive pain to install, the antenna wires are tiny, so if you have adult size fingers, it’ll take longer then it should.
Works in Linux, with the latest Manjaro updates. According to Fast.com, I get 270 Mbps, not much less then what my wired desktop gets. Think it was 230 Mbps or less with the old adapter.
Connecting the black antenna wire first, doesn’t make it easier, then the white wire is harder. I’m lucky it didn’t come unplugged, the black wire. I first tried plugging the white wire in first, that didn’t work to well, I ended up unplugging it. 280 Mbps that time, think my desktop gets 280-300 Mbps.
The network manager, sometimes says I’m only connected at 6 Mb/s. When I looked on the AP controller, it was the same speed as my iPhone. Over 800 Mbps.
Does the Bluetooth work? If that’s the white wire antenna, it’s possible the white wire isn’t plugged in all the way, thought it was. But you need a magnifying glass to see.
Why is the Bluetooth over USB when it’s plugged into a PCIe slot?
The Bluetooth works, I can see somebody’s TV. Now how do I disable Bluetooth? Right click the icon and click turn off Bluetooth. I don’t leave Bluetooth enabled, I’m paranoid.
Suspend doesn’t work in Linux, at least with the Raven kernel. Let’s see if it works with the stock Manjaro kernel. At least the WiFi works with the Manjaro kernel, the other WiFi doesn’t, it requires two patches, it might have one of the patches.
Nope, neither kernel works.
Using linux-firmware-git doesn’t work either. The problem is, if you run “sudo rfkill list”, you’ll see it appearing and disappearing, the WiFi, just run the command more then once. Not sure if that’s software or hardware. Upgraded the BIOS and EC. Whatever the EC is.
Now, it’s hot. There’s a post about that. Not bricked, but hot.
It’s probably an issue with the card.
Still no WiFi on resuming from suspend. Might of been hot cause it was plugged in, and after updating the BIOS it rebooted, before I could update the EC.
Also, the instructions say “/boot/efi”, which is incorrect, it’s “/efi/boot”. If you read the text they say that. No idea why they refer to it as “/boot/efi”. Probably to confuse people that don’t want to read it all.
Well, either the card, or Linux is messed up. Neither the latest Manjaro stable kernel, or the Raven kernel works.
M.2 isn’t PCIe? Well, you can’t plug it into a full size PCIe slot. M.2 can be anything.
I turned the laptop off. Need to disable suspend since it doesn’t work, that means either turning off when not in use, or keeping it plugged in 24/7. That’s a bummer.
There we go, suspend is disabled, well automatic suspend. Now, I get to wait and hope a future kernel fixes it. I don’t have or use Windows, so I can’t test it’s suspend mode.
