TV turned itself on
Probably the same asshole that hijacked my soundbar. That could also be the cracker.
Does the shitty Roku app show all devices nearby even if it’s not your’s? I should see if I can turn off the app control. It shows two Expresses that aren’t mine.
If it requires a PIN or something, they probably cracked it.
Or, the firmware update I installed some days ago, is the cause.
I doubt I didn’t turn it off, I would have noticed. Also, it was on the Roku interface. I don’t use the Roku interface, and if there’s no signal, I’m pretty sure it turns off.
Most likely a firmware bug. The Expresses it shows, one is probably the one I had. The other one, might have been somebody else’s, like my mom’s. Must not delete old devices.
Wouldn’t think IR would go far enough for somebody to turn it on that way. Maybe they hacked into my powerline adapters. That’s what I was going to do, check my powerline adapters, to make sure they aren’t connected to something that isn’t mine.
Nobody connected to my powerline adapter, at least the ZYXEL software doesn’t say anybody is.
The Hak whatever software sucks, gets a bunch of errors in Windows too. Was just trying to see if it supports the Sega Genesis Mini yet. I didn’t use the installer, error as soon as you open it. I wouldn’t use that to hack anything. I can see why they only know how to make Windows programs, their software blows ass, just like Windows. They wouldn’t have a clue on how to write software not in .NET.
Kind of funny, the mini/classic systems, use Linux. Why would you limit it to Windows? Probably less code to write if using Linux.
There could also be a malfunction in the TV. Which would be a bummer, I don’t want to buy a new TV. And then, I can’t buy TCL again, if it’s defective already. Or buy TCL with an extended warranty. That works.
I need to sell my Canon FD adapter. KEH will only give me around $30, and you need at least $50 worth of stuff to sell, otherwise it gets an error. B&H said around $40, but that was months ago. Probably best to sell it myself on eBay. I could use my old pictures, but I’d rather take new ones.
Might get scammed on eBay, sellers can get scammed too. I almost got scammed, for some reason, they didn’t dispute the charge. Guess they needed the IMEI or whatever for a stolen phone.
Don’t ship it till you verify the address, that is the zip code. If the zip code is wrong for the address, they are a scammer. And eBay doesn’t check that, nor does PayPal.
