Use my USB HDMI capture card. How bad is the input lag?

That’s assuming it works with macOS, it might not. It works in Linux without doing anything, you could use it in reverse, plug the mini into it.

I should get a new capture card, one that does 4k. Except, that would blow on USB. Do they make a Thunderbolt capture card? Oh wait, get a PCIe enclosure, and put it in that. My monitor is 1440p, might do that if it does 4k, doubt any advertise as 1440p.

Will the new card be this slow? Probably. It’ll take a long ass time to copy all 200 GB to it.

There’s a capture card for $200 that does 4k. But only records at 30 FPS, that’s a bummer. It records 1440p at 60 FPS. That could be a bummer too. Most people use the output on the capture card, so there’s less or no lag.

Might as well use Steam, if I ever play a PC game again. Steam is free.
